Spring Militia Encampment & Training

Saturday 3/25-26:
Are you interested in becoming a member of the Ste. Genevieve Milice? Then this is the event for you! Not only will they be setting up an encampment in our living history yard, but they will be conducting training for new recruits on basic encampments skills like tent care & set up, fire starting, musket cleaning, and more! Hands-On History House Re-Opens

Tuesday 3/28:
Closed group field trips (requires pre-registration) will resume on Tuesdays & Thursdays for morning and afternoon sessions. Call 573-880-4123 to book
Weekends at the Hands-On History House Resumes

Fri 3/31:
This program offers visitors the experience to enjoy the house's activities on Fridays, and interact with living history interpreters on Saturday. This event runs through 11/4 - call 573-880-4123 for more info.
Exhibit Opening

Sat 4/1:
Celebrate with us as we open our newest temporary exhibit, "To Shelter & Sustain: Building on the Creole Frontier for housing, food, and water."
Battle of Fort San Carlos Commemoration

Sun 5/28 @ 2pm:
Join us as the Battle of Fort San Carlos Commemoration Committee holds their annual Commemoration Ceremony at the Ste. Genevieve Catholic Church, where Francois Valle II is interred. This ceremony celebrates those who fought and died during the historic 1780 efforts to successfully stave off British encroachment during the American Revolutionary War.
Honey Festival + Market

Sat 6/24:
Our good friends at Harold's Famous Bee Co. spearhead this event, featuring educational beekeeping demonstrations and displays, craft and food vendors, live music, and special activities in Downtown Ste. Genevieve.
Fall Militia Encampment

Sat 10/7-10/8:
The Ste. Genevieve Militia, as well as other area's militia, set up an encampment in the Bolduc & LeMeilleur yards. Special activities include gunsmithing, rope making, for making, children's games, and more!
Night of the Werewolf

Sat 10/21:
An evening filled with lantern tours of the Bolduc House, werewolf stories & folklore around the campfire, family-friendly games & activities, s'mores & cider, and militia-led hunts for werewolves prowling the village! Stay tuned for ticketing information
Pecanapalooza Street Festival

Sat 11/4:
This all-day event has something for everyone: live country and folk music, food & craft vendors, children's games, craft beer, pecan baking contest, military living history timeline & historic vehicle display, and food drive for local food pantries. Stay tuned for more information.
Allée Allumée

Fridays 11/24, 12/1, 12/8 & 12/15:
Tour guides lead you through a lit path as children from colonial Ste. Genevieve bring gifs to a manger scene. Live music, cookies & cocoa, and a visit to Peré Noel round out this seasonal event.
